An answered prayer!!

Yep, that's right! We are PREGNANT!!! It was our third infetility cycle, and I was not expecting it at all. In the past I have always caved and taken a home pregnancy test before my beta rolled around. Well not this time! I was busy in the middle of 3 nights in a row at work and I was just sure that it was going to be negaitve. Not a single symptom excpet a little bloat, and I was too nervous/scared to find out. So I just waited. I got my blood drawn on April 15 and the RE nurse left me two messages by the time I woke up that afternoon. The first one was pretty generic, but in the second one she slipped out the words "good news"... I thought my heart was going to pound out of my chest!! Beta #1 was 330! I was beyond ecstatic, in tears, and attempting to get ready for work that night. Not a very productive combo. I called Tony and my mom who both said "Are you joking with me right now?". Now someone tell me WHY I would joke about something so serious?! Hahaha. And then I had to pee on a stick so I could see the results with my own eyes...  

Positive!!

My second beta was yesterday (4/17) and after a frustrating wait in the lab and an afternoon full of anxiety, the nurse finally called. 1,254!!! As one of my friends put it, I am "crazy pregnant". :) No more beta's for this mama-to-be, we scheduled out first ultrasound for May 6. We should be able to see the heartbeat then! It cannot get here fast enough!

It is the hardest thing I have ever done to not announce the good news to everyone I know. There are a few people I have told who have been supportive to us throughout this whole infertility process, but for the most part we are waiting. We will tell Tony's family after our first ultrasound. Everyone else (work, extended family and friends... and FACEBOOK) will have to wait until after 12 weeks. June 10... not that I am counting down or anything :)

I will leave you will my first weekly belly picture. Although there is no baby belly right now! There's a little bloat going on, and it will be a great comparison for later on. This was taken the day we found out at 4 weeks exactly..
